Important ones to remember are ALT + P to play, ALT + T to trim, and ALT + R to record.
AUDIO RECORDER ON WINDOWS 10 WINDOWS 10
If you’re editing a lot of clips, knowing the hotkeys for the Windows 10 / Windows 11 Voice Recorder will save you a lot of time.
Optional: Use hotkeys for increased efficiency. Move them to the desired location to adjust the audio track, then press the “Save” button underneath the timeline. In the main pane, below the timeline, you also have some options, the most important one being the trim icon, which allows you to trim the audio.Īfter pressing the trim button, you’ll be presented with a start and end marker, which you can drag to the left and right to trim the recording. You can right-click your audio recording in the list to rename it. Jump between your flags in Windows 10 / Windows 11 Voice RecorderĮach of your flags will display above the play button with their time stamp and also as an orange line below. Pressing the big play button will let you listen back and determine whether any changes are required. You can click it, or any previous clip, to open it. Once your recording is complete, the Windows 10 / Windows 11 Voice Recorder will automatically display it in a sidebar on the left. Edit your voice recording in Windows 11 / Windows 10. You can press the pause icon to temporarily stop the recording or the central button with a square in the middle to stop it permanently. The time you’ve been recording will display at the top of the screen. Your markers will show at the bottom of the app with their timestamp.

Windows 11 / Windows 10 will automatically pull audio from your default input device.
